RECOVERY: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD - The Bureau of Indian Affairs intends to award a sole-source firm fixed price delivery order to Scholastic Corporation for Math Intervention Textbooks. The total value of this intended award is less than the simplified acquisition threshold. The purpose of this announcement is to award based on a sole source requirement. Price quotes are not being requested and written solicitation will not be used. This procurement will be made pursuant to simplified acquisition procedures and Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1 and FAR 13.501(a)(2). This notice is neither a request for proposals, nor a solicitation for offers. Any other interested organizations must submit a written statement of their capabilities to fulfill this requirement to the identified point of contact as soon as possible, but no later than 12:00 Noon, (Mountain Standard Time Zone), August 24, 2010. Faxed and emailed statements will be accepted; however, the sender(s) shall accept full responsibility to ensure complete transmission and timely receipt. Any such statement of capabilities received by the deadline will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
