THE ACTION DESCRIBED HEREIN IS A MODIFICATION TO EXISTING CONTRACT #DOL- J09PA00005. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE CONTRACTOR IDENTIFIED BELOW. This opportunity is available only to Horizons Youth Services under contract number DOL-J09PA00005. The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management on behalf of the Office of Job Corps has awarded a modification in the amount of $733,304 to the  Carl D. Perkins Job Corps Center operated by Horizons Youth Services.  These funds are provided under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and are with in the not to exceed ceiling for ARRA projects to be added to this contract for Construction/Rehab (CRA) ARRA projects.   It would be impracticable to use a fixed price contract to secure services of the kind or quality required for this modification, since the modification is to an existing Cost Plus Incentive Fee contract (Cost Reimbursement Contract). The funding is provided for repairs of exterior doors and frames, Roofing, Cap flashing on top of exterior wall at the east corner, vehicular traffic safety improvements at entrance and repair of broken insulated glazing units. The operator of this center will utilize these funds to make available additional training opportunities to the students of the Carl D. Perkins Job Corps Center.  This award will allow for subcontracting possibilities.
