The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) intends to award a contract modification to current contract N00039-06-C-0021 to Valley Technologies, Inc., 724 Claremont Avenue, Tamaqua, PA, pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (5) Authorized or Required by Statute which implements 15 U.S.C. 657a, the HUBZone Act of 1997. The objective of this acquisition is to establish the viability of Field Programmable Object Array (FPOA) technology to reduce the risk of implementing satellite onboard processing systems using Wide Field of View (WFOV) Staring Sensors and large format Focal Plane Arrays (FPAýýýs) that are being considered for future satellite reconnaissance, surveillance and stragic missile warning systems. Valley Technologies, Inc. has designed and developed prototype hardware and software for a demonstration system on previous efforts for floating point, backend processing (BEP) requirements. This modification increases contract ceiling by $586,727 to Hubzone Small Business ceiling of $3,500,000. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.
