Complete recirculation aquaculture system with 95-99% reuse. This system will be designed for the intensive production of walleye. This will be a partial retrofit of an existing flow through system. The system will be designed to start approximately 70,000 fingerling Walleyes from an initial length of 1.5” (1000 fish per pound) to a Phase II size of 4” (52 fish per pound). At which point the system load will be thinned to Phase III levels of a maximum of 54,000 – 4” fish. Total Phase III production capacity is expected to be able to produce 54,000 fish totaling 3,600 lbs. of 6” fish (15 fish per pound). Fish exceeding 6 inches may be stocked 2-3 weeks before the last production operation date to ease the load on the system. Due to limited space, a vertical system is preferred.
