Bahamas Power & Light BPL-RFP-1202/22-Rev. 1 REBUILD OF MHPS STORES BUILDING - ABACO SCOPE OF SERVICES Site Walkabout – Tuesday, November 15th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at MARSH HARBOUR POWER STATION, S. C. BOOTLE HIGHWAY All persons must have the correct PPE as per the following or they will not be allowed access to the site: Hard Hat Safety Shoes Safety Glasses Hi-visibility Vest The following stages describes in general, but does not limit the scope of the Services which the Contractor shall be required to perform: Rebuild of 67’ L x 40’W x 24’H (2,680 sq. ft.) Stores Building All electrical roughing and installations must be done as per drawings provided and in accordance with the latest Canadian Electrical Code (CEC). The electrical service entrance shall be of the underground design with a 200 Amp single phase meter center The main switch shall have an automatic transfer switch (ATS). All plumbing shall be designed and installed as per the drawings provided. Install hurricane impact windows Install two (2) hurricane impact steel doors – exterior (main floor) All exterior doors shall be 36” x 80” and outfitted with stainless steel heavy duty entry locks (~ASIN B085NBCCWT) with panic exit combination All door hinges shall be of the stainless steel type The doors shall be Winter Grey – Benjamin Moore 2117-60. The exterior doors (2) and the door to the “issuing office” (1) shall be installed and designed with electronic roughing for swipe card access Install six (6) interior doors, these shall be of metal 36” x 80” and outfitted with stainless steel entry locks w/dead bolt combination Install heavy duty Roll Up door 20’ x 15’ at Front Right side of Building as per drawing To be operated via electric motor with options to raise/lower manually. Metal roofing shall be built to Category 5 Hurricane standards Install Rain Gutters with tubing Install one additional roll up door 20’ x 14’ to northwestern side of building The main floor shall be divided into the following units: One (1) main office space 10’ x 10’ with: - Two (2) network drops installed for internet access - Two (2) APC UPS 1000VA Sine Wave UPS Battery Backup and Surge Protector, BR1000MS Backup Battery Power Supply with AVR, (2) USB Charger Ports - One (1) 12,000 BTU Wall-Mounted Ductless Mini-Split Inverter Air Conditioner, 220V One (1) kitchen space 10’ x 10’ One (1) male restroom 10’ x 10’ with: - One (1) urinal, standard - Two (2) toilets, standard - Bathroom cabinet with two (2) face bowl sinks - One (1) GFCI 15Amp electrical outlet - One (1) 9,000 BTU Wall-Mounted Ductless Mini-Split Inverter Air Conditioner, 220V One (1) female restroom 10’ x 10’ with: - Two (2) toilets, standard - Bathroom cabinet with two (2) face bowl sinks - One (1) GFCI 15Amp electrical outlet - One (1) 9,000 BTU Wall-Mounted Ductless Mini-Split Inverter Air Conditioner, 220V - One (1) Issuing Office 10’ x 10’ with 36” x 72” open area for ‘issuing’ with: - Two (2) network drops installed for internet access - Four (4) electrical outlets, one on each wall - Two (2) APC UPS 1000VA Sine Wave UPS Battery Backup and Surge Protector, BR1000MS Backup Battery Power Supply with AVR, (2) USB Charger Ports - One (1) 12,000 BTU Wall-Mounted Ductless Mini-Split Inverter Air Conditioner, 220V One (1) Open “Receiving Area” with a manual Roll Up door 10’ x 10’ at Rear of Building as per drawing (Main Floor) One 10’ x 6’ - IT Closet shall be constructed on the second floor with: - Two (2) APC Network UPS, 3000VA Smart-UPS Sine Wave, Short Depth UPS with Extended Run Option, SMX3000LVNC, Network Management Card, Tower/4U Rack Convertible, Line-Interactive, 120V black - Two (2) 120Vac electrical outlets shall be installed in the IT room - The door to the IT room shall have built in, fixed ventilation louver 2’W x 5’ L. The main entrance shall lead to a 4’ hallway with exit door constructed exactly opposite at the rear of the building as per drawing. The ceiling lighting shall be of 4’ LED fixtures A metal stairway shall be built against the center wall on the main floor for access to the second floor as shown The second floor shall be an open space of concrete with metal guard rails installed along the perimeter. The second floor shall be finished with Wear Resistant Flooring Epoxy Primer An exit door shall be installed for an emergency exit from the second floor as per the drawing An external stairway shall be constructed to provide a means of emergency exit from the second floor as per drawing All exits shall be outfitted with emergency exit lights and illuminated exit signs Two (2) Emergency Shower and Eyewash Stations shall be installed: - One (1) near the bay of the issuing office - One (1) near the bay of the main roll up door The building shall be furnished with a Wet Pipe Automatic Sprinkler System Provide four (4) 20lb ABC extinguishers The building shall be furnished with an alarm system with smoke detectors, pull stations and horn strobes Six louvers shall be installed on the walls of the second floor for proper ventilation: 36” W x 36” H single louvres The louvers shall be positioned as per the attached drawing (‘IT Room, Louvers, Fire Hose Cabinets’) All debris must be removed to the Public Dump Site.
