Hargett Street will be held at 1:00 pm for those submitting bids who want to attend the opening in person. The sealed proposal public opening can also be viewed via virtual meeting in an effort to limit the size of meetings due to the COVID-19 precautions. We strongly recommend viewing the opening via streaming and strongly recommend that each submitting firm only send one representative if desiring to have an in-person presence, so that recommended social distancing can be provided. A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference for all contractors, sub-contractors, minority and woman owned businesses will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 via a virtual meeting. Invitations to the virtual meeting will go out the day of the pre-bid meeting. Requirements for pre-bid submittals of an “or-equal” are required within 10 days of the issuance of the Advertisement for Bids and in accordance with Section 00200, Instructions to Bidders. The Project consists generally of the following major items: Roadway Resurfacing and Widening 1.3 miles of Poole Road; Grading, Drainage, Paving, Curb & Gutter, Multi-Use Path, Pavement Markings, Raised Reflective Pavement Markers, and Erosion control; including 4,410 Sq. Yd. of 4” concrete sidewalk, 35 concrete curb ramps, 11,610 LF of 2’-6” concrete curb & gutter, 2,810 LF of 1’-6” concrete curb & gutter, 22,725 tons of asphalt paving, 3 dry detention basins, plantings and other incidental items of work.
