The NanoString-Counter Custom CodeSet and nCounter Master Kits will provide the lab with the most appropriate reagents to perform high-throughput analyses that are critical to completing current research in the lab. Only the requested reagents can be used in the NanoString nCounter Analysis System that is currently utilized in the lab. The ability to maintain continuity of experimental procedures is crucial to the success of the Division of Intramural Research, Molecular Genomics Core Group at the NIEHS, RTP, NC. It has been determined that NanoString Technology, is the only known responsible source capable of providing these supplies and no other supplies will satisfy the agency's requirements.
The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 339999 "All Other Miscellaneous Manufacturing" and a Size Standard of 500 Employees.
NIEHS will solicit and negotiate directly with NanoString Technology and no solicitation will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotations; however, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Offerors must have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) www.sam.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
