The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, Northern Plains Area, Fort Collins CO, intends to enter into a single source contract with Illumina, San Diego CA, for chemical reagents for conducting genotyping assays manufactured by Illumina.  The genotyping assay developed by Illumina allows 1536 different DNA markers to be analyzed in 96 individuals from a single reaction assay.  This high throughput genotyping method permits generating a large amount of data in a short period of time.   Illumina is the sole source for these items.
