This solicitation and resultant contract is for a base year plus four option years. The Francis Marion Ranger District, located in Charleston and Berkeley Counties, has a requirement for raking and clearing around Red-Cockaded Woodpecker (RCW) cavity trees. Clearing around RCW cavity trees will consist of using hand tools, brush cutters, chainsaws, weed eaters, or other equipment the contractor prefers to use in accordance with the Statement of Work. There are approximately 500 to 600 trees throughout the Francis Marion Ranger District; compartment maps will be provided to the awardee. With the exception of this base year, the period of performance is from 1 December for 60 days; this base year will be from date of award for 60 days.
