RAVENSWOOD & MAGRUDER MASTICATION The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Nevada State Office has a requirement for the mechanical mastication of approximately 765 acres of single leaf pinyon pine (Pinus monophylla) and Utah juniper (Juniperus osteosperma) which has established on sagebrush ecological sites along the roadsides of two separate units. The Ravenswood Unit is guaranteed with this contract and encompasses 570 acres. The Magruder Mountain site encompasses 195 acres and is an optional unit. The option area (Magruder Mountain) will be awarded based on the bid average price per acre. It is the governments prerogative to award or not award the option area based on the bids received. The Solicitation will include contract documents with details of the project when it is released. The project is located in Lander County, Nevada. Service Contract Act (SCA) Wage Rate Requirements are applicable to this project and the appropriate SCA Wage Decision(s) will be included in the solicitation. The BLM will issue a Total Small Business Set-Aside competitive solicitation on/about May 3, 2021. The BLM anticipates issuing a single firm fixed price award from this solicitation. The competitive solicitation, 140L3921R0002, will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 19.5, Set-Asides for Small Business. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 115310, Support Activities for Forestry, Fuels Management Services and the size standard is $20.5M (per the SBA's Table of Small Business Size Standards). A Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation package will be available electronically on or about Monday May 3, 2021 at the Beta.SAM website located at www.beta.sam.gov. Proposals will be due no later than Thursday June 3, 2021. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring www.beta.sam.gov for the release of the solicitation package, for any other pertinent information, and for downloading a complete copy of the solicitation package. The government will not provide paper copies of the solicitation. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be registered, and currently active, and complete the online Representations and Certification in the System for Award Management (SAM) data base via website: http://www.sam.gov. Award will be based on Best Value to the Government in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low offeror(s).
