Background / Purpose: In support of Soldiers’ training at Camp Guernsey, Wyoming.  The Training Center Command requires:

• Eighty (80) railcar spanners.

The purpose of the spanners are to provide support for unit equipment arriving and departing by rail.

Minimum Specifications:  The vendor shall provide the following minimum specifications:

Railcar Spanners:

• No less than 50,000 lbs. max axle capacity

• No less than 2 feet wide
• No less than 7 feet long
• Reinforced kick plate
• Non-skid surface
• Minimal or no service maintenance required

Special Considerations:  These item(s) must be compatible with standard railroad flatbed rail cars and meet OSHA safety standards.
