NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the requirement from Pogo Linux, Inc. This company is the original maker of the server system and will ensure that highly customized data processing for hardware and software is compatible with the existing system.

The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.

Interested organizations may submit their questions to perform the effort in writing to Odessia Becks via e-mail at [email protected], not later than 12:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on September 26, 2016. Capabilities, qualifications, and quotes must be submitted by September 27, 2016 through FedBizOpps no later than 12:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
