- Requirements: The contractor shall be required to provide the following services:
- Radiopharmaceutical orders are to be placed to the vendor only by authorized Nuclear Medicine Technologists.
- Radiopharmaceutical orders are to be delivered in unit dose form only.
- Deliveries are to be made FOB destination (No charge for routine delivery).
- The Nuclear Medicine Service may cancel ordered doses within a ten (10) verbal or written time frame to the vendor.
- Unopened and unused Tc99m unit dose radiopharmaceuticals will be returned to the contractor by the Nuclear Medicine service for credit reimbursement.
- All orders must be in total compliance with the State of Georgia and/or Federal regulations regarding radioactive material.
- All shipping containers must be free of radioactive contamination both inside and outside.
- The vendor must supply with each shipment/order/delivery a system for spent (used) syringes, that meets OSHA’s Bio-Hazard Policy/Regulations.
- In case of emergency, the vendor will be required to make deliveries within 2.5 hours, (excluding weekends and Federal Holidays) as required by Carl Vinson VAMC Nuclear Medicine service personnel.
- Cold (non-radioactive) radiopharmaceutical vials shall be returned to vendor for credit or replacement if expiration date is exceeded on vial.
- Payment should be made monthly in arrears.
