THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE SYNOPSIS! The 45th Contracting Squadron has a sole source requirement to provide radioactive calibration sources and standards consisting of various concentrations of a mixed gamma, alpha, and beta emitting radionuclides (Cd-109, Co-57, Ce-139, Hg-203, Sn-113. Cs-137, Y-88, Co-60, Am-241, 209-Po, 239-Pu, Natural Uranium, and other radionuclide sources) that have been deposited on various media (filter paper, liquid, electroplated disks) and in unique geometries (configurations). The period of performance will be one (1) year after award. This is a Sole Source with Eckert & Ziegler IAW FAR 6.302-1. IAW FAR 5.207(c)(15) Eckert & Ziegler Analytics is the only source capable of fulfilling the government's requirement which deals with chemical mixes that must meet specific industry standards and the identified vendor is the only one that meets these standards and provides the resources necessary. The attached Sole Source Justification has been made available for review. No solicitation documents exist at this time. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, the government will consider any responses from capable sources received within 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis. 45 CONS/LGCB has determined that Eckert & Ziegler Analytics is the only source capable of providing this requirement.
