AMIC DET 2 OL/PKA at Patrick AFB, FL intends to award a single source purchase order to Eckert & Ziegler Analytics, Inc., 1380 Seaboard Industrial Blvd., Atlanta, GA, 30318-2825, under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). The proposed contract acquisition is for the AFTAC’s Radiochemistry Laboratory (Lab). In order for the Lab to measure radioactive content, the Lab must calibrate instruments with radioactive sources with known activities. The Lab maintains the capability to measure a sample’s alpha, beta, and gamma emitters, sources with known alpha, beta, and gamma activities are required. The proposed acquisition is made of Sr-85, Sr-90, Pb-210, Cd-109, Co-57, Ce-139, Hg-203, Sn-113, Cs-137, Y-88, Co-60, Am-241, Mn-54, Zn-65, Pu-239, EU-152 and other radionuclide sources that have been deposited on various media (filter paper, liquid, electroplated disks) and in unique geometries (configurations).
