The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Mt. Weather Emergency Operations Center (MWEOC), Mt. Weather, VA, intends to negotiate with Canberra Industries, Inc. for the purchase of twenty-five each AN/PDR-77 RADIAC Sets in support of FEMA’s all hazards mission requirement. A market survey has been performed by the Program Office and a determination was made that only the Canberra Industries, Inc. RADIAC Set offers the best value to the Government and best meets the specific needs of FEMA. The sets are to be delivered to the FEMA Mobile Emergency Response Support detachments. In addition, the RADIAC Set is considered to be a commercial item in nature. Interested persons may respond by identifying their capability to provide the required product, to include descriptive literature for their proposed product AND pricing. Responses shall be in writing and sent to FEMA, MWEOC, 19844 Blue Ridge Mountain Road, Mt. Responses must be received ten calendar days from date of publication of this announcement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by the date identified above will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
