The Naval Air Systems Command intends to place a sole-source cost plus fixed fee order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-11-G-0001 with The Boeing Company (Boeing) of St. Louis, Missouri 63166 for the procurement of engineering support for validation of ECP-6342. Support will take place in the Commonwealth of Australia, through the Foreign Military Sales Program. The projected period of performance is February/March 2012. The projected contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1. No solicitation document exists. Boeing is the designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator of the F/A-18 and EA-18G aircraft in its various configurations; and as such, is the only known firm with the knowledge, experience, and technical expertise required to accomplish this effort.
