This project is one of the implementation projects of the Collaborative Forest Landscape Restoration Project (CFLRP). The goal of the CFLRP project is to utilize collaborative, science based ecosystem restoration techniques to improve watershed function while encouraging ecological, economic and social sustainability with an emphasis on providing local employment opportunities. The work required by this contract consists of furnishing and applying chloride dust palliative materials on Forest roads and related work in compliance with its terms, specifications, and provisions. This includes furnishing labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals.
The Selway Area Road Dust Abatement project consists of supplying and applying chloride dust palliative materials on the following roads in the Moose Creek Ranger Distirct. Work also includes preparing the roadways for treatment and rolling the roadways after treatment.
223 Selway River Road, 651 Hamby Fork Road, 443 American River - Selway Road
Project site is on FS Roads 223, 651 and 443. Travel approximately 25 miles east of Kooskia, Idaho via U.S. Highway 12 to FS Road 223. Work begins at MP 7.0 of FS Road 223. Road 651 junctions Road 223 on the right at MP 7.0. Road 443 junctions Road 223 on the right at MP 18.7.

It is estimated that work can begin on May 12, 2014. The contractor shall give 14 days notice prior to starting any ground disturbing work. All work must be completed no later than June 27, 2014.
