The resulting performance base contract will 1) improve the management of critical watersheds in Honduras, including protection of habitats containing important biodiversity, through the provision of technical assistance, training, and commodities to municipalities, communities, traditional and non-traditional academic institutions, private organizations (including, but not limited to, non-governmental organizations), and other environmental actors; and 2) improve economic growth from resources in the environmental sector through environmentally-sound, legal practices for municipalities, communities, traditional and non-traditional academic institutions, private organizations (including, but not limited to, non-governmental organizations), and other environmental actors.
