HELIS-UNIV OF BREMEN, GERMANY The United States Geological Survey, Sacramento Office of Acquisition and Grants, Sacramento, CA intends to make a non-competitive award to the University of Bremen, Institute of Environmental Physics, in Bremen, Germany for the analysis of low level tritium and selected dissolved noble gases (concentration and isotopic composition of helium and neon) in water for determination of groundwater age (time-since recharge). The University of Bremen laboratorys unique qualification is their ability to deliver the required low-level tritium analysis, having a reporting level less than 0.03 tritium units, and associated noble-gas data needed for tritium/helium-3 age dating of groundwater within the timeframe required for the project. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and the procedures of FAR Part 12, entitled, Acquisition of Commercial Items. Other interested concerns having the ability to furnish this product shall submit a capabilities statement to the Contract Specialist no later than the closing date of this announcement.
