The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Afghanistan Engineer District -South,AES Kandahar, Afghanistan intends to release a Request for Proposal,RFP on a full and open basis to obtain proposals from qualified offerors for Transportation Services for light-armored vehicles,LAVs and non-armored vehicles in Southern Afghanistan. USACE AES will require approximately the following: Seven,7 up armored vehicles,fully loaded, full size LAV's; Thirteen,13 fully loaded SUV's; Fifty-four, 54 non-armored small pickup trucks (equivalent to Toyota Hiluxes); and two (2) Mid size vans, Twelve 12 passenger. Locations will include the following: USACE-AES at Kandahar Air Field,KAF, Kandahar Province; Camp Lindsey, Kandahar Province; Forward Operating Bases: Qalat, Zabul Province; Lashkar Gah, Helmand Province; Herat, Herat Province; Tarin Kowt, Uruzgan Province; Spin Boldak, Kandahar Province; Base Smart, Zabul Province, Camp Dwyer, Helmand Province; Farah, Farah Province; Ramrod, Kandahar Province; Camp Tombstone, Helmand Province; Shindand, Herat Province; and Delaram, Nimruz Province. Request For Proposal,RFP No. W5J9LE-11-R-0088 will also require the offeror to provide schedule and unscheduled maintenance and repairs for all vehicles provided in a contract. In addition the offeror shall also provide maintenance and repair on Government Owned Equipment (GFE) for up to 20 ATV's Gators/Mules. No contract award will be made until appropriated funds are made available. The solicitation will be available in FedBizOpps. Contract award will be based upon Low Price from responsive, responsible offeror. The acquisition will result in a single firm fixed price services contract awarded based on lowest price. The period of performance will be for one year with one six month option period. The RFP will be issued on or about 15 August 2011. No information regarding site visits is available at this time. Offerors must register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov prior to submission of proposal.
