The Optical Technology Div. at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement to conduct research pursuant to NISTââ¬â¢s research to develop and explore advanced pulsed laser methodologies to obtain time-dependent information about complex hydrogen-bonded biomolecular systems through their low frequency, far-infrared (Terahertz or THz) spectra. The specific tasks pursuant to this research are described in the Performance Work Statement included in the solicitation. It is anticipated that the solicitation for this work will be issued on or about August 8, 2005, utilizing FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Government anticipates the award of a fixed price Purchase Order on or about August 30, 2005 with a 12-mo. performance period.
