The Optical Technology Division of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement to conduct research pursuant to the theory for Terahertz (THz) Biomolecular Spectroscopy. The specific tasks are described in the Performance Work Statement included in the solicitation. All work shall be performed on-site at the NIST Gaithersburg, MD campus. It is anticipated that the solicitation for this work will be issued on or about Oct. 21, 2004, utilizing FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The performance period will be 12 months. The Government anticipates the award of a fixed price Purchase Order on or about Nov. 29, 2004.
