The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Jacksonville, Florida intends to issue a sole source Request for Proposal (RFP) to Physical Optics Corporation, 20600 Gramercy Place Bldg 100, Torrance, CA 90501. The proposed effort is for non-recurring engineering required to incorporate a Digital Data System into the T-45 aircraft which will include the Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) and Control Panel (CP), Weapons Replaceable Assemblies (WRAs), aircraft antennae, ground antennae, software for Multifunction Test Set (MTS) and software to support the ground station. The proposed contract action is for supplies and/or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within 5 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for any information provided.
