U.S. Department of Commerce Short-Term Advisor to Foreign Government - World Trade Organization (WTO) Accession
The Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) seeks to recruit, for a limited assignment (3 weeks in-country), an advisor with expertise in advising countries in their WTO accession process. Total time for this project will be 27 days, including preparation time, and post-trip report preparation.
The advisor will assist a foreign government in preparing answers to questions asked by WTO members in response to the country?s Memorandum on Foreign Trade.
Maximum daily remuneration will not exceed the GS15 step 10 scale.
To be considered for the assignment, candidates should have the following qualifications: 1) demonstrated effectiveness as lead or sole adviser to at least two countries for their WTO accession process; and 2) a minimum of two years of work experience in Eastern Europe.
