Contractor shall transcribe dictated material pertinent to the Medical records of patients at the VA Medical Centers in Boston Massachusetts, West Roxbury Massachusetts, Brockton, Massachusetts, Bedford, Massachusetts and their associated Outpatient Clinics and remote offices into the required report format. These reports include but are not limited to Operative Reports, Transfer Summaries, Discharge Summaries, Progress Notes, Compensation & Pensions Exams, EMG, EEG, Consultation, Nuclear Medicine reports, other reports as defined to the contractor. Material to be transcribed includes a high incidence of medical terminology which requires a good vocabulary, a strong command of English grammar, and a working knowledge of specialized vocabulary and medical terminology peculiar to a wide variety of subjects in the fields of medicine, psychiatry and surgery, etc. The subjects will include, but are not limited to: anesthesiology, cardiology, dermatology, dentistry, endocrinology, general medicine, gastroenterology, general surgery, geriatrics, gynecology, hematology, infectious disease, laboratory, nuclear medicine, neurology, oncology//therapy electromyogram, hematology, ophthalmology, oral surgery, orthopedics, otolaryngology, peri-pleural vascular surgery, pharmacology, podiatry, psychiatry, psychology, plastic surgery, pulmonary disease, radiology, rehabilitation medicine, renal disease, rheumatology, social work services, speech pathology/audiology, spinal cord injury, thoracic surgery, urology etc. in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, and schedule of this solicitation.
