The Government requires the services of a Musician for Catholic Mass on Sunday at the Presidio of Monterey Chapel for a period of 12 months. The Catholic Musician plays the piano, organ or guitar and provides services as a musician/accompanist/lead singer for regularly scheduled worship services, special services, and events. The anticipated contract start date is 1 October 2007. The Catholic Musician must play at sight most hymns in the Armed Forces Hymnal, transpose a hymn for a few accidentals (s harps and flats) if on the organ, prepare in advance for performance any prelude and fugue by Bach, any work or movement by Mendelsson or Brahms, and any work by Pepping or Walcha, and be available for weekly worship services and a minimum of one weekly ch oir/worship rehearsal. Please note: These requirements apply to the individual who will actually be performing the work. This is a 100% small business set-aside.
