The Bureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Region, Hoover Dam, has a requirement for the manufacture of 5,000 all-copper coins (copper furnished by Hoover Dam) and the manufacture of 25,000 plated-copper coins to be used as commemorative souvenir medallions. The three-dimensional design for the coins will be furnished by Hoover Dam. This requirement is being procured under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is set-aside for small businesses. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code is 332999. The size standard is 500 employees or less. Effective October 1, 2003, prospective vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) prior to the award of a contract. You may register by going to www.ccr.gov. You will need your Dun & Bradstreet number and banking information. It is anticipated that a Request for Quote (RFQ) wil be issued on or about July 22, 2005, and awarded on or about August 10, 2005; however, all dates in this announcement are subject to change.
