THIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to award, on a sole source basis, a contract to Oregon State University - US Geological Service Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Unit (OSU-FWU).

A determination not to compete this proposed contract has been made Pursuant to 41 U.S. C. 253(c)(1), as implemented by 6.302-1, this requirement has been justified and approved in accordance with FAR 6.303 and FAR 6.304. As a result, per FARS 6.302-1(a) (2) (iii), the OSU-FWS is currently the logical follow-on provider for continuation of the necessary research and monitoring activities for services deemed necessary in 2013.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals to be used for consideration of future requirements. Any such statement of capabilities and qualifications received by the within 15 days of the posting of this notice, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice of intent.
