On February 11, 2005 the Robins Air Force Base 78th Services Division Smith Community Center will host a Human Checkers Tournament. In this event teams will play a game of checkers with a twist. The team members will be the checker pieces on our giant checkerboard. The team members will wear red and black hats with numbers so that the team leader can tell the team members where to move on the checkerboard. This event is open to all base ID cardholders and their families. However, our main target is to have squadrons compete against each other in a little friendly competition. The expected participation for this program is 50 people. In order to enhance this program for 2005 we would like to partner with companies and individuals who are interested in providing cash and/or in-kind for a trophy to give the winning team and help offset the costs of building our checkerboard.Would your company like to be a part of the Human Checkers Tournament for 2005?
