Request for interested sources and commercial industry information regarding professional facilities management support services for single soldier housing facilities (barracks). Current services are provided in-house by individual military units located at US Army Garrisons (USAG) in Ansbach, Bamberg, Baumholder, Garmisch, Grafenwoehr, Heidelberg, Hohenfels, Kaiserslautern, Mannheim, Schweinfurt, Stuttgart, and Wiesbaden in Germany; Vicenza and Livorno in Italy; Schinnen in the Netherlands; and Benelux and Brussels, in Belgium. Facilities management/hotel services includes inspecting common areas, submitting and tracking maintenance work orders, furniture inventory, and assigning and terminating spaces. In an effort to better support the warfighter, the US Army is interested in acquiring contracted support to manage the single soldier housing facilities.
Note: Attached to this notice is the anticipated Performance Work Statement (PWS). Both the CLIN structure and the PWS are subject to change.
In order to better understand this new requirement, the Wiesbaden Contracting Center would like to get input from the facilities management/hotel services industry. Specifically, we are interested in suggestions for how to structure the bid schedule and the cost drivers associated with different structure approaches.
The Contracting Center will sponsor an Industry Day for all interested parties on 4 June 2009 at the Contracting Center, Wiesbaden, Germany to discuss the cost drivers for European industry facilities management/hotel services. If you would like to attend this event, please email
[email protected] by noon on 1 June 2009. If you cannot attend, but would like to submit comments, please do so by using the same email address.
