This is a sole source notice for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The Capital District Contracting Center (CDCC) intends to neg otiate on a sole source basis with Independent Engineering under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to provide fire engineering/safety/prevention services to the Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security (DPTMS) at the US Army Adelphi Laboratory Center (ALC) in Adelphi, Maryland. Independent Engineering is the only known contractor to provide this service. This notice will be displayed until 4:00 PM EST October 15, 2006. A determination not to compete this requirement based upon responses to th is notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed on a sole source basis.
