This is a notice of intent that WR-ALC anticipates issuing an engineering services order against an existing Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA)(FA8523-05-G-0002)with ITT Corp., Clifton NJ. The contractor shall provide engineering and technical services to develop an improved LRU-2 for the ALQ-172. The contractor shall identify and evaluate solution(s); determine the preferred solution; and design, integrate and validate the solution with a prototype of each CCA. Included in this task are all associated contractual efforts (e.g. data, modeling, simulation and testing), which are integral to completion of the overall engineering task. The period of performance shall be 12 months. This requirement will be awarded as a Specialized Engineering Task under BOA FA8523-05-G-0002. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. All proposals received within 15 days after the date of publications of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon repsonse to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
