The Navy requires engineering services to provide support for Systems Engineering Research and Systems Engineering Management Support functions for the Trident II Life Extension Program. Note: This synopsis is Amendment 01 to the synopsis originally issued on 23 DEC 2006. The Contractor will be required to provide technical evaluations to address known or potential deficiencies, conduct economic analyses, and analyze program alternatives. The technical requirements will be in accordance with (IAW) NSWC Crane Statement of Work. Negotiations will be conducted on a sole-source basis with Orion Systems, INC. IAW FAR 6.302-1, i.e., only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements. See Note 22.
