Response Date: (January 16, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time(EST). This announcement is posted as Request for Information (RFI) No. 05-PMD-001. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is conducting market research that may result in a future solicitation being posted on the Federal Business Opportunity (www.fedbizopps.gov) website. This RFI is issued to determine whether there are qualified sources that will be able to meet these requirements, as well as, allow industry an opportunity to provide comments. This requirement is to obtain contractor services to support EEOCââ¬â¢s Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Operations. During FY 2004, the EEOC received over 17,000 FOIA requests. FOIA requests are currently being processed as other duties as assigned by EEOC employees within our District Office Legal units.SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Sources are sought who can provide services to administer a high volume FOIA Program. Sources should provide information regarding (1) the ability to make an initial determination as to whether the conditions exist for requesting disclosure of a file pursuant to FOIA. (2) The processing of FOIA requests within the required timeframe. (3) The technical approach as to how to track and manage the processing of the requests and how such an approach will enhance Government efficiency and effectiveness. Interested parties responding to this RFI must be familiar with the Electronic Freedom of Information Act (E-FOIA)), which requires agencies to make records available electronically. Each submission must include the following: (1) contractor name and contact information; and (2) a capability statement. Your response should be a maximum of ten (10) pages and must reference RFI No. 05-PMD-001. All prospective offerors interested in providing information on the above requirement are invited to respond to this RFI. Prospective offerors shall submit signed and dated information by express mail service or U.S mail to the attention of Caroline A. Fowler, Contracting Officer, EEOC, Procurement Management Division, 1801 L Street, NW, Room 2505, Washington, DC 20507, or by hand delivery to the same address. There is no specific format for submission of this information. All submissions will be reviewed. The Government does not offer funding for any information submitted in response to this announcement. No contract will be awarded as a result of this announcement. Any subsequent solicitation will be synopsized prior to its release. The Government will not pay for information provided in response to this synopsis. Vendors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation and any amendments.
