The US Environmental Protection Agency intends to award a sole source Contract using FAR Part 15 to the National Academy of Sciences/National Research Council (NAS/NRC), located at 500 Fifth Street, NW, Washington DC 20001. NAS/NRC will provide independent and objective advice to the US EPA's Acute Exposure Guideline Levels (AEGL) Program, whose mission is to develop guideline levels for once-in-a-lifetime short-term exposure to airborne concentrations of acutely toxic, high-priority chemicals. The proposed contract would be for approximately 1 million dollars over a period of 5 years. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION.
