The Purchasing and Contracts (P&C) Branch of the Financial Control Subdivision at HQ SACT is soliciting two Contracting Specialists to support the contracting requirements for the experimentation effort and help with on-going P&C Branch acquisition efforts. The period of performance for this SOW is on or about 12 Jan 2004 to 31 Dec 2004, with two option years that may be exercised at the sole discretion of HQ SACT. The option years are 1 Jan – 31 Dec 05 and 1 Jan – 31 Dec 06. FURTHER DETAILS REGARDING THIS SOLICITATION INCLUDING THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) AND STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW) CAN BE FOUND ON THE UPLOADED DOCUMENTS ATTACHED TO THIS SOLICITATION. DUE TO SIGNIFICANT INTERSEST IN THIS SOLICITATION THE DEADLINE FOR RESPONSES HAS BEEN EXTENDED UNTIL 1200 HOURS ON THE 16TH OF JANUARY 2004. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE IN THE SOW HAS BEEN MODIFIED TO REFLECT THIS CHANGE AND WILL COMMENCE ON OR ABOUT 21 JAN 2004. PLEASE NOTE THE EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS DELINEATED IN PARA 5.1 HAVE BEEN REVIEWED AND MODIFIED TO INCLUDE APPLICANTS WITHOUT A BACHELOR'S DEGREE WHO HAVE SIGNIFICANT WORK EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH CONTRACTS. HOWEVER, A BACHELOR'S DEGREE WITH CONTRACTING EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED.
