The purpose of this amendment is to extend the Deadline for the Submission of Proposals under the Prospectus for Lake Berryessa. On September 25, 2007, the Central California Area Office of the Bureau of Reclamation's Mid-Pacific Region decided to extend the deadline for the submission of proposals under the Prospectus for the operation of seven concession areas located at Lake Berryessa, Napa, California. Originally scheduled to end on September 5, 2007, and subsequently extended November 2, 2007, Reclamation is extending the proposal submission period for a second time until November 16, 2007 due to pending litigation by four of the seven existing concession contractors. Proposals must be received at the address listed in the Prospectus no earlier than November 16, 2007 and no later than 4:00 pm November 20, 2007. Any proposals received prior to November 16, 2007 will be returned to the sender. The Prospectus outlines opportunities for Offerors to submit proposals to operate from one to all seven of the concession areas located around Lake Berryessa. The recently completed planning effort that culminated in an Environmental Impact Statement and Record of Decision provides the basic parameters for the new concession operations at Lake Berryessa. By the time the Pleasure Cove contract expires on December 1, 2007 and the other six concession contracts expire in 2008/2009, the seven existing concession operations at Lake Berryessa will have been operating in a very similar manner for 50 years.
