The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) plans to award a sole source purchase order to the National Academies of Sciences (NAS) for the Co-Sponsorship with the Women?s Transportation Issues. NAS will conduct, organize, and provide the required research on women?s transportation issues, which will include mobility needs, safety and security. NAS along with other sponsors will provide conference and printed materials, facilitators, and the meeting space for their conference. Because NAS is the only provider and organizer they are the only source for their conference. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is February 28, 2008.
