See Numbered Note 22. This solicitation is to be issued as a Sole Source requirement to perform mechanical testing in order to obtain the material properties of SpectraShield. The mechanical testing will include fabricating specimens for testing, tensile strength and modulus tests, creep or stress relaxation tests, compressive strength tests, shear strength and modulous tests, bend tests, and compressive failure followed by tensile test. Analysis of the results of the testing will also be required. This solicitation will be issued to Special Materials located in Morristown, NJ. It is anticipated that the award will be firm fixed price. Approximate release date of this solicitation is 09 June 2004.
