USAID/Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) proposes to modify an existing contract with Bearing Point; Contract No. 168-C-00-03-00101-00. The contract was awarded to support the Strengthening Bank Supervision and Deposit Insurance Project in BiH. The purpose of this modification is to provide an additional 1176 person days level of effort (311 days of expatriate staff and 865 days of local BiH staff) and to extend the completion date to September 30, 2005. Less than full and open competition is sought to allow Bearing Point to provide the increased level of effort needed over the additional period of time. The approximate value of the proposed modification is $600,000. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. All statements of interest received within thirty days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. However, a determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
