The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), located in Bethesda, Md on the National Naval Medical Campus (NNMC), intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) under the authority of FAR Part 13.106-1(b). Two services offered by AAMC, Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) and the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT), are required for USUHS. Membership to AAMC is a requirement in order to participate in LCME and MCAT. The LCME is the accrediting body for U.S. Medical education programs leading to the M.D. degree and MCAT is the national standardized test used to assess applicants? basic knowledge and problem solving skills. The resultant award will be an option year contract with a base period of twelve (12) months and four (4) one year option periods. This is not a request for quotes and a solicitation package will not be issued. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
