THIS IS A SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The Acquisition Division, U.S. Census Bureau invites commercial companies to a pre-proposal conference between the hours of 9 a.m. and 12 p.m., August 23, 2002, in the Morris Hansen Auditorium, Federal Office Building #3, Headquarters, U.S. Census Bureau, Suitland, Maryland. This conference is intended to provide prospective Offerors some background on the A76 program for clerical support, proposal requirements, and the submission and award process. It will also provide interested companies an opportunity to discuss the selection process directly with government representatives. The agenda for the conference will be posted to the Census Bureau website at http://www.census.gov/procur/www/clerical five (5) days prior to the conference. Interested companies must provide names of expected attendees to the Census Bureau by COB August 19, 2002 via e-mail to [email protected]. The Morris Hansen Auditorium is located on the first floor of Federal Office Building #3. After being cleared by Security, turn right on the corridor and the auditorium will be on the left approximately 30 yards from the Security Desk. PLEASE NOTE: Consider guest parking a challenge for this pre-proposal conference, and take the recently opened Green Line Metro to the Suitland Metro Stop. The escalator at the Suitland Metro Stop will lead to Silver Hill Road. Turn left on Silver Hill Road and walk approximately 1? blocks to Gate #5 of the U.S. Census Bureau. At Gate #5 representatives will request that the security personnel call the Acquisition Division on Extension #1831 for access to the grounds. The Acquisition Division will also provide a list of attending personnel to the security personnel, which we hope will help expedite your entrance. The security personnel will direct you to Federal Office Building #3, which is directly behind Gate #5. You will again have to past through Security once you enter Building #3. After clearing Security in Building #3 turn right down the hall until you arrive at the Morris Hansen Auditorium on the left. If you elect to drive to the Census Bureau you must follow the same procedures as described above from Gate #5.
