BID NOTICE Solicitation Type and Name: Invitation for Bid for Quinta Mazatlan Exterior Door Renovations Solicitation Number: 04-18-IPQ31-277 Summary of Work: Project requires removal and replacement of selected existing doors, refinishing of remaining doors, and provision and installation of new door hardware. Deadline: Electronic Informal Price Quotations addressed to Mr. Gerardo Noriega, CTPM, Director of Purchasing & Contracting will be received on April 05, 2018 until 4:00 p.m. Central Standard Time at which time they shall be unlocked. All electronic informal price quotations must be posted on the City of McAllen’s bidding portal (http://mcallen.procureware.com) on or before the aforementioned dated and time. Hard copy and/or late bids shall not be accepted. Pre-Submittal Conference: A Pre-Bid Conference will be held March 29, 2018, at 4:00 p.m. at Quinta Mazatlan 600 Sunset Drive, McAllen, Texas 78501. There will be a walk-through following the pre-submittal conference. All prospective bidders are encouraged to be in attendance. A Bidder’s Bond from a reliable surety company licensed to operate in the State of Texas or certified Cashier’s Check, payable without recourse to the City of McAllen, for the amount of not less than five (5) percent (%) of the total bid shall be submitted via a sealed envelope as a guaranty that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will enter into a contract with the City of McAllen. Once on the portal, after you have logged in you can click on the button titled “Documents” for details. Only TxDOT prequalified contractors shall be eligible to submit bids. Potential bidders are asked to post their questions of a contractual nature and/or questions of a technical nature on our bidding portal under the tab labeled “clarifications” under the relative project number. Bids are to be submitted electronically, attaching all forms as called for. The City of McAllen reserves the right to refuse and reject any or all Bids and to waive any or all formalities or technicalities, or to accept the Bid considered the best and most advantageous to the City and to hold the bids for a period of forty-five (45)days without taking action thereon.
