USDA, Forest Service, fForest Products Laboratory (FPL) is doing research on catalytic thermal conversion lignin resources to carbon-based nanomaterials. During this thermal process, a lot of permanent and condensable gases are released from lignin samples. To optimize the production process, a residual gas analyzer (RGA) is requested for this research project. Important specific features for the RGA are list below:
1. Continuous analysis of gases and vapors at pressures near atmosphere.
2. Fast response times, less than 300 millisecond for most gases and vapors, including water and organic vapors.
3. Has mass range 300 AMU and with a detection capability from 100% to sub part-per-million (ppm).
4. Quantitative data output and data export.
5. Easy to be maintained.
