The Wisconsin Department of Children and Families (DCF), through its Procurement Unit (Procurement), requests bids to establish a contract for services relating to the Quality Improvement Center for Workforce Development (QIC-WD) Site Implementation Manager to include duties related to quality improvement and data coordination in Milwaukee County. DCF’s Division of Milwaukee Child Protective Services (DMCPS) received a QIC-WD grant to understand how to improve child welfare workforce outcomes through improved strategies for workforce development and retention as part of a national research study. This grant is in partnership with the Children’s Bureau, and is led by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in partnership with experts from the University of Colorado, Denver; University of Louisville; University of Tennessee, Knoxville; C.F. Parry Associates; CLH Strategies & Solutions; and Great Eastern Consulting. Through this research, the QIC-WD plans to generate new knowledge about effective strategies to improve workforce outcomes. Through evaluation, the QIC-WD will enhance what is known about evidence – informed workforce interventions and how they are related to outcomes for children. DMCPS’ QIC-WD Site Implementation Manager (SIM)/ QIC-WD Data Coordinator (DC) will be integral to the success of DMCPS’ QIC-WD workforce grant project.
