This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.  Interested offerors must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) (https://sam.gov) to be considered for this solicitation.

The associated North American Industry Classication System (NAICS) is 811219, Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance and Product Service Code J065 Maint/repair/rebuild Of Equipment- Medical, Dental, and Veterinary Equipment and Supplies.  Following requirements are as follows:

1 EA 9421769 (Qiagen Catalog Number) QIAcube HT/QIAxtractor, Full Agreement

This maintenance service requirement is for base year plus 4 option year.  Period of Performance as noted below:

Base Year:      09/23/2021 - 09/22/2022

Option Year 1: 09/23/2022-09/22/2023

Option Year 2: 09/23/2023-09/22/2024

Option Year 3: 09/23/2024-09/22/2025

Option Year 4: 09/23/2025-09/22/2026

Maintenance service is for QIAcube Connect System - S/N: 01231 and QIAcube HT/QIAxtractor System Serial # s 022180 located at Naval Health Research Center (NHRC), Building 313, San Diego, CA 92152.  

No alternate service agreement is acceptable - instrument is currently in use for an ongoing research protocol, for the extraction of DNA and RNA from clinical samples to aid in detection of infectious agents. Use of alternative service may affect research integrity, duplication of cost and unacceptable delays in agency’s ongoing research.

All quotes must include the Company Name, Full Address, CAGE Code and Point of Contact information including Name, Phone Number and E-Mail address.  Quotes must identify prices for each year individually with no sales tax applied. 

The Government will evaluate offers for award purposes by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the basic requirement. The Government may determine that an offer is unacceptable if the option prices are significantly unbalanced. Evaluation of options shall not obligate the Government to exercise the option(s).
