The Department of Veteran Affairs, Network Contracting Office 16 (NCO 16), Houston, Texas is seeking quotes for onsite Medical Physicist Services for radiation oncology services to eligible beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs at G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 1500 East Woodrow Wilson Drive, Jackson, Mississippi 39216. Relative to NAICS 561320, Temporary Help Services with a size standard of $30 Million. This requirement will provide VAMC with a total of 0.058 (120 hours per year) Full Time Equivalent (FTE) onsite Board-Certified Medical Physicist. Period of performance will be a base of one (1) year with four (4) one (1) year options. This is a short-term requirement and will be utilized when staff Medical Physicist is absence. Scope: Medical Physicists are primarily and professionally engaged in the design, optimization and technical evaluation of radiation treatment plans as well as ensuring precise and accurate radiation dose delivery. Medical Physicists are responsible for radiation protection of patients and staff. Their role may include clinical, research, and educational duties. This procurement is set-aside to Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB).
