The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), the Department of Defense Medical School and Health Sciences University intends to award on a non-competitive basis a contract with the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine, Rockville, MD. The Henry M. Jackson Foundation will provide continuing administrative and medical support to the Deployment Health Clinical Center for the Advancement of Military Medicine at the Walter Reed Medical Center. The contractor shall provide an interdisciplinary staff to provide comprehensive referral health care services and primary care-oriented health care for service members returning from deployment and their dependents for a period of one year with four one year options. The USUHS is authorized to enter into a contract with the Henry M. Jackson Foundation on a non-competitive basis pursuant to Title 10 U.S.C. 178 and 2113 (j) (1) (a). This contract is being awarded in accordance with the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition at 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (5), “Authorized or Required by Statute.” The proposed procurement is in compliance with Public Law 92-426, “Uniformed Service Health Professions Revitalization Act of 1972.”
