This is a presolicitation notice synopsizing the upcoming release of a request for proposal (RFP) solicitation for a services contract- NO RESPONSE TO THIS SYNOPSIS IS REQUIRED
The Willes-Barre VAMC, located in Wilkes-Barre, PA, will be issuing a solicitation for the provision of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Services for Wilkes-Barre VAMC's Prosthetic & Sensory Aids Service.
The DME Services are considered to be commercial services and will generally consist of providing a comprehensive DME program furnishing all necessary labor, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, training, reports, and facilities necessary for the pick-up, delivery, cleaning, installation, repair (when required) and storage of DME items and also includes providing end user-level education regarding the proper use of the DME item being issued to the patient. The DME services will be provided for Veteran patients within Wilkes-Barre VAMC's service area which includes:
AREA OF COVERAGE FOR THE WILKES-BARRE VA: The contractor shall provide services to the area of coverage as specified below for the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center, 1111 East End Boulevard, Wilkes-Barre, PA. 18711. The Wilkes-Barre VA Health Care System (WB VAHCS) consists of the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center located at Wilkes-Barre, PA as well as Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) and/or Outpatient Clinics in Allentown, PA; Sayre, PA; Williamsport, PA; Tobyhanna, PA; Schuylkill County and Columbia County. The following is a list of the counties in the State of Pennsylvania that shall be provided service under the terms and conditions of this contract:
Bradford, Susquehanna, Lycoming, Sullivan, Wyoming, Lackawanna, Wayne, Pike, Union, Montour, Columbia, Luzerne, Monroe, Carbon, Northumberland, Snyder, Schuylkill, Northampton, Lehigh and one county in New York: Tioga.
This acquisition will be totally set-aside for small business competition under NAICS code 621610, Home Health Services; the U. S. Small Business Administration's (SBA) size standard for this NAICS code is $14 million.
The intended contract will be a single-award, 5-year Indefinite-Quantity contract.
The targeted RFP release timeframe is Middle June 2015.
The targeted start date for the provision of the DME Services is October 1, 2015.
